Competitive Events & Programs Assistant The Competitive Events & Programs Assistant provides administrative support for the director of programs, the program department, youth trainings, national programs and competitive events. The Competitive Events & Programs Assistant is responsible for maintaining and facilitating Youth Scholarships, Dynamic Leadership and Power of One National Programs. Prepare minutes for the Board of Directors Program Committee and department meetings. Requirements/Skills: Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred. 2-4 years’ experience in all facets of administrative support. Tech savvy with intermediate to advanced skills in MS Office applications, database and presentation software. Demonstrated ability to master new applications quickly. Consistently demonstrates positive customer service orientation; works collaboratively with other staff and teams; has the technical knowledge and skills to perform responsibilities effectively; demonstrates strong interpersonal skills and manages conflict effectively; exhibits a consistently high level of attention to detail and accuracy; highly organized, uses time efficiently and consistently meets deadlines; able to effectively set priorities for routine work; demonstrates initiative in maintaining regular workload and assisting others as time permits; able to develop and implement basic process improvements for various routines and systems; demonstrates strong business writing skills and edits documents for errors, grammar and content. Writes business correspondence and other documents clearly and professionally; able to integrate long term assignments effectively along with routine, daily work. Travel Requirements: 5% upon request
Marketing & Membership Coordinator The Marketing & Membership Coordinator manages adviser and adult recognition; manages the coordination of membership services; serves as the main contact for chapter relations; coordinates the needs of the department with the database management system; manage public relations and public policy activities; assists with adviser training as needed; and performs other tasks as requested. Requirements/Skills: Bachelor’s degree required. Degree in Communications/Public Relations preferred. 3-6 years related experience including administrative support and coordination of programs or special projects. Tech savvy with intermediate to advanced skills in MS Office applications, database and presentation software; demonstrated ability to master new applications quickly. Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to work collaboratively in a team environment; ability to work effectively with all levels of staff; ability to effectively manage multiple priorities; demonstrates positive interpersonal skills; exceptional attention to detail and accuracy; exemplify excellent customer service; and able to effectively set priorities and meet deadlines for routine work and project work, and annually scheduled events Travel Requirements: 10-15%
Marketing & Membership Assistant – (part-time, 30 hours per week) The Marketing & Membership Assistant provides technical and administrative support for the organization's communications, marketing, and membership department. Tasks include: provide support for public relations and marketing efforts, including oversight of association's social networking efforts; and performs other tasks as requested. Requirements/Skills: Associates degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred. Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to work collaboratively in a team environment; ability to work effectively with all levels of staff; should possess a consistent high level attention to detail and accuracy; ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines; positive interpersonal skills; excellent business writing skills; very strong time management skills. 2-4 years' related experience in all facets of administrative support. Social Media & Public Relations Semester Internship FCCLA is looking for an undergraduate student who is interested in social media and public relations and is willing to work hard to build a portfolio of experience. Our intern will work closely with the Marketing & Membership team to develop new methods of reaching organizational stakeholders.
