Who brings an ace, a hole-in-one, a quorum, and a grand slam together? The answer is Phil Mayer from John P. Stevens High School in Edison, New Jersey of course! Phil is a senior at John P. Stevens High School, home of the Hawks. Edison, New Jersey is  located just thirty-five miles outside New York City, twenty miles from beautiful, white, sandy beaches, and sixty miles from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This convenient location allows Phil to see a Broadway play, snowboard on the slopes, swim with dolphins, or visit the birthplace of our nation in less than one hour!
In his free time, Phil enjoys playing tennis, golf, baseball and even basketball. When he is not out hitting golf balls at the driving range or fielding groundballs on the baseball diamond, Phil is in school or in the New Jersey FCCLA State Office working. Phil competed in the Hospitality STAR Event and received a silver medal at the 2006 National Leadership Meeting in Nashville, Tennessee. Phil was the 2005-2006 New Jersey FCCLA Vice President of Public Relations and before he was elected as a National Officer, he was elected as the 2006-2007 New Jersey FCCLA State President. Outside FCCLA, Phil was inducted into the National Honor Society and plays on the Varsity Tennis team at his high school. His favorite subjects in school are science and math.
Phil Mayer is proud to serve Family, Career and Community Leaders of America as the 2007-2008 National Vice President of Individual Programs.
